Boston Social Athletes is a social organization forcused on connecting the different athletic communities, clubs, teams, and individuals. We help form these connections by hosting montly social events at different bars around the city. But who hosts these events? Meet our three hosts focused on helping to make these connections!
Will Allen
When he's not managing the boxes and packing materials at Gentle Giant Moving Company, Will Allen can most often be found around the Charles River. As an active rower, Will spends most mornings training with the Riverside Boat Club, training for races both locally and internationally. He also spent this past summer training for and competing in his first triathlon (Timberman 70.3), doing most of his running around the Charles River. Will is also a member of the #worldsfittestband, Riverside Boat Club's own "The Blades", playing lead guitar. He founded Boston Social Athletes as a way to connect the different athletic communities around Boston, and to create opportunities for people who make fitness and healthy living a way of life.
Evan Dana
With a love for moving outside, Evan enjoys running, biking, swimming, yoga, and long walks on the beach. (Is he kidding?) Between workouts, you can find him resting up as he slings code together to create the dynamic front-end of a website. He's enjoyed getting around the local clubs: a co-leader of TMIRCE, an active member of November Project, with a little bit of dabbling in Wheelworks Multisport. He is training for Ironman Mont Tremblant next August and is excited and overwhelmed; do you have any tips? If your curiosity is piqued, ask him about cycling the Alpes and the best sunrise climb in MA.
Kim Fox
Kim Fox is the Assistant Director of External Relations at the Chestnut Hill School, where she oversees development, alumni relations, communications and social media. Kim loves the field of development, but her true passion in life is the sport of swimming. A former club, high school and college swimmer Kim decided to take on a new challenge and finally gave the sport of triathlon in 2011. After dabbling in the sport for two years, she decided to make the leap in 2013 and sign up for her first half iron (70.3) distance triathlon. In addition, Kim works with Streamline Events, a triathlon and sports event management company based on Boston’s south shore. Kim works with Streamline’s managing director to oversee and manage their social media presence and help to spread the word about the company and their amazing events.
